Summary:

Our 10-week Summer Intern Program is designed to provide students with a challenging and meaningful experience supporting the Fiducient team. The Summer Analyst will participate in a rotational internship across three core business areas within the Chicago office:

  • Private Wealth / Family Office

  • Mergers & Acquisitions / Strategic Growth

  • Financial Institutions (Outsourced Research & OCIO Support)

This role is designed to provide broad exposure to the advisory business model- from client-facing wealth management to institutional research and firm-level strategic initiatives- while helping the intern develop a foundational understanding of how a modern advisory firm operates. The intern will sit alongside the respective teams and work directly with senior professionals on real-time projects.

Responsibilities (or Project Work):

Private Wealth / Family Office

  • Assist with preparation of client meeting materials and portfolio summaries
  • Conduct investment and market research to support client discussions
  • Support financial planning analysis (cash flow, asset allocation, tax considerations, estate structures)
  • Observe client meetings and internal strategy sessions
  • Assist with family office initiatives such as reporting, governance materials, or consolidated balance sheet analysis

M&A / Strategic Growth

  • Support research on prospective acquisition targets (RIA landscape, trust companies, accounting firms, etc.)
  • Assist with industry research and competitive benchmarking
  • Help prepare internal memos and presentation materials for leadership discussions
  • Conduct preliminary due diligence support (public information gathering, financial summaries, market analysis)
  • Track key industry trends in wealth management consolidation

Financial Institutions / Research

  • Assist in summarizing manager research and investment commentary
  • Support data compilation and performance reporting
  • Help prepare materials for RIA and institutional client meetings
  • Conduct research on asset managers, investment strategies, and market themes
  • Observe investment committee discussions and research team meetings

Qualifications:

  • Rising junior or senior undergraduate student (Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field preferred)
  • Interest in wealth management, investment consulting, or financial services
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a collegial environment.
  • Professional communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail, organization skills and time management skills
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel

The base salary range for this position is $18.00 – $24.00 per hour. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
