The Director of Renewals Effectiveness & Scale is a strategic position within Okta’s Renewals Team, responsible for ensuring our Renewals Team has the processes, tools, enablement, and support needed to manage our global renewals portfolio. They will be a key change management agent by representing Renewals in the planning and decision making processes for new projects, critical process changes, and system improvements. They will partner closely with key cross-functional teams (e.g. Renewals Operations, Sales Enablement, Business Technology) to drive a shared vision for execution of change.

The Director of Renewals Effectiveness & Scale is responsible for managing our outsourced renewals team and our auto-renew program to achieve maximum efficiency, high performance and effective scalability. They will ensure we maintain a highly effective and modern Renewals Enablement Program that accelerates new hire productivity, supports a culture of constant learning within the team, and shares best practices and knowledge with stakeholder organizations. The Director of Renewals Effectiveness & Scale will also lead our Renewals Contract Specialist Team in providing top tier administrative support for quoting, deal preparation, and other various projects.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide strategic direction and change management for strategic and operational changes that impacting our Global Renewals Team
Provide direct oversight of the outsourced renewals program (via CGS) to ensure it meets Okta standards, drives the necessary performance outcomes, and has the necessary Okta support to be successful.
Oversee the management of the Contract Specialist Team to ensure effective delivery of quote support SLAs, accuracy, and adoption.
Ensure the effective execution of Okta’s auto-renewal program and associated performance goals
Oversee the design, scoping and delivery of innovative learning solutions and a curriculum to address the needs of the Renewals Team and its constituents.
Collaborate with the rest of the Renewals Leadership Team to develop and execute our global and regional renewals strategies.
Foster highly effective, multi-level relationships between Renewals and key stakeholders in Renewals Operations, Sales Enablement, Business Technology.
Drive effective collaboration with the extended team of pre-sales, services, training, legal, finance and IT business partners by ensuring process definition, execution, and clear communication.
Provide ongoing mentoring and development including recruiting, hiring and mentoring new team members

Minimum REQUIRED Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

10+ years of experience in renewals sales or renewals operations roles
Deep experience owning definition, documentation, and execution of renewals or sales processes
Experience managing outsourced renewals sales teams (directly or indirectly) to deliver consistently high performance
Experience hiring, developing, and managing high performing individual contributors
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Strong oral, written and presentation skills
Ability to organize, prioritize, complete activities and meet deadlines on a daily basis
Requires ability to withstand frequent and intense pressure as a result of demanding workload and must be able to maintain a positive and professional manner throughout

Below is the annual On Target Compensation (OTE) range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual OTE, which is inclusive of base salary and incentive compensation, will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable) and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual OTE range for this position for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$193,000—$280,000 USD The OTE range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between:$214,700—$311,300 USD
