Customer Identity Cloud, an Okta business unit, is an easy-to-implement, adaptable authentication and authorization platform. We work with Node.js, React, Postgres/MongoDB databases and our services run on AWS and Azure. As a principal engineer in the DX domain at Auth0 you will:
- Collaborate on and make proposals for engineering work across teams / domains, aiding engineers and product managers in making informed decisions in alignment with strategic goals.
- Provide thought leadership across the teams in the domain and drive initiatives to raise the bar
- Be a trusted advisor to the ELT (Engineering Leadership Team) surfacing opportunities and proactively identifying risks.
- Act as a point of escalation for teams facing complex technical challenges.
- Proactively identify opportunities to reuse or generalize existing services and product features to avoid duplication of effort and encourage collaboration.
- Commit to ensuring our customers have an exceptional experience with our products.
- Mentor and provide advice to individual contributors across teams and domains.
- Engage with support teams as the final level of escalation for tickets.
- Participate in our on-call rotation for troubleshooting production issues.
You are a good fit for this role if you:
- Possess exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
- Have 12+ years of software development experience.
- Hold a solid understanding of Node.js/JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Have strong experience with unit, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing.
- Demonstrate ownership, accountability, attention to detail, and a customer-focused attitude.
- Thrive in a highly collaborative, fully remote, and distributed culture.
- Are passionate about working on systems that are highly reliable, scalable, and secure.

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.
