Queensland Urban Utilities is looking for exceptional people to submit their application to join our ICT Delivery team as a Test Manager. This role will direct and coordinate professional ICT quality application and infrastructure testing services in a complex project and organisational environment across all aspects of Queensland Urban Utilities. You will provide mentorship and guidance to a team of Senior Test Analysts with regards to the implementation of robust testing process, procedures and strategies, and have the ability to challenge existing practices to ensure Queensland Urban Utilities delivers forward thinking solutions.

You will have a focus on the following:

• Manage, plan and lead the delivery of ICT Testing initiatives in a complex project and program environment, through the provision of ICT Testing services, setting scheduled milestones to ensure project/program objectives are met in a timely manner.
• Manage the integrity of testing and acceptance activities and ensure the execution of these activities, including system, integration, regression and user acceptance testing
• Provide expert guidance on all aspects of test planning and execution, including test strategy advice to project managers,
• Consider customer requests for new initiatives and facilitate the resolution of concepts, business changes, issues and make appropriate recommendations
• Liaise with the Change & Release Coordinator ensuring the quality of releases in production and non-production environments
• Manage testing budget, estimating, planning and objective setting.

Your extensive applied knowledge in the testing and implementation of ICT solutions, balanced with the ability to conceptualise, analyse and provide solutions to interpret business and functional defect issues will contribute to your success in this role. The ability to have meaningful discussions with multiple stakeholders and project managers to ensure clear communications regarding change management activities, financial data and ICT trends will come naturally to you. More explicitly, you will have the following:

• Extensive experience in developing a Test Framework and the use of testing methods, tools and process improvements
• Significant proven management and communication skills with the ability to build relationship with stakeholders of all levels including internal employees, partners, and sponsors
• Extensive experiences leading a whole-of-business testing function focussed on achieving business outcomes. Proven significant experience in managing challenging and conflicting issues around timeframes, implementation risk and workarounds, negotiating win / win outcomes
• Relevant academic qualifications in an Information System Management, Program/Project Management or Business Management related area
