Job Description
About the role
Reporting to the National Account Manager, this role assumes accountability for all HSE Coorindation deliverables & activities encompassing but not limited to Environmental Management, Safety Services & Business Continuity Management. This role delivers a high level of service to all Sodexo and Client stakeholders including confidentiality of executive level information.
Duties will include but not limited to -
- Implementing EMS initiatives and operational control programs (i.e. energy saving initiatives, waste management programs)
- Participating in internal and external audits and ensuring site readiness
- Conducting Facility health checks in compliance to ISO 14001 requirements
- Working in collaboration with eco champions/sustainability squad network for the implementation of eco programs and activities
- EMS reporting for monthly, quarterly & annual reviews
- Implementing innovation projects related to energy efficiency and sustainability
- Reviewing, validating and achieving Facility EMS targets, documenting and reporting the progress
- Ensuring Health, Safety & Wellbeing issues or concerns are reported and investigated
- Implementing the Sodexo QHSE program and procedures including national & local improvement plans
- Conducting Health & Safety inspections and audits
- Coordinating and managing the emergency preparedness and business continuity plans in all Client controlled spaces
- Supporting Facility risk assessments and preparation of risk mitigation plans
- Acting as a Brand Ambassador for Sodexo leading by example at all times
- Travel on a regular basis to all contracted sites
Qualifications
About You
The successful candidate will have a passion & commitment to Safety and will have the following qualities -
- 3 years experience in a role of similar scope & responsibility
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Health, Safety or Environment Management
- Cert IV in Training & Assessment (desirable)
- Food Safety qualifications (desirable)
- Demonstrated experience undertaking internal and external WHS & EMS audits
- Proven track record of working with various stakeholders across multiple levels to develop and implement business continuity plans
- Proven track record in the implementation of EMS initiatives and operational control programs
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver detailed EMS & WHS reports
- Strong track record in the management of emergency preparedness
