Due to recent growth and expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for a qualified and licenced Plumber to join a team of maintenance trades in Weipa Town
This is a full time 14 days on, 7 days off roster which will suit a well organised, self-motivated and hand-on individual who is able to work within a team and is passionate about adhering to high safety standards.
About the job
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, our Plumber will work as part of a larger trades team to perform preventative and reactive maintenance on equipment ensuring operational function and contributing to the smooth running of the village and residential; properties.
The main responsibilities of this role are to complete necessary plumbing investigations, ensuring all plumbing mandatory and statutory testing and maintenance is carried out and recorded. It is expected that our plumbers will also perform pre-start up checks, complete assigned maintenance log schedule and update the maintenance registry, prioritise urgent repairs for customer and client satisfaction, install/ inspect/troubleshoot equipment and ensure inventory levels are upheld and order supplies as required. From time to time, you may be required to travel to another local site to assist the team on various tasks/projects within your scope or work with other trades on your site to complete task as assigned by your supervisor.
About you
You are a positive, and effective communicator who has a strong work ethic and excellent customer service without compromising on safety.
In addition, you will have:
- Current and unrestricted Plumbing & Draining Occupational Licence
- Valid open Driver Licence
- Experience in completing facilities and building maintenance and inspections to an agreed schedule
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external clients
- Excellent attention detail and the be able to provide professional customer service ensuring exceptional presentation to client/customer satisfaction
- Proven time management skills and the ability to prioritise workloads
- Previous remote site experience is highly regarded but not essential
- Previous experience working and supporting a larger team of trades is preferred but not essential
