About the role
We are currently looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join the team at the Port Kembla Coal Terminal, reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent.
You will provide direct supervision of the PKCT relevant trade workgroup, focusing on providing a high level of operational support to customers in zero safety incident culture.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity.
Accountabilities –
- Supervise a team of trades and be accountable for the safe execution of work management plans through effective use of our CMMS
- Responsible for managing work interactions, isolations & authorising permits for site personnel and contractors
- Respond to break in work to minimise delays by organising & supervising repairs in line with company policies and procedures
- Establish a safety orientated, high performance culture within the team through effective mentoring & coaching; enhanced technical knowledge & promoting continuous professional development of team members
- Investigate & report on incidents & events as per site standards, policies & procedures
- Optimise systems, processes and practices to improve maintenance effectiveness and efficiency
About you
- Relevant mechanical/electrical trade or engineering qualification
- Experience working in a similar role within Mining or Heavy industry
- Demonstrated experience in Coal Preparation Plants, minerals processing or surface infrastructure including maintenance of automated yard machines and shiploaders, pumps, conveyors, screens, air compressors, HV & LV electrical equipment
- Proven ability of working and leading a team of maintenance trades in all areas including risk management
- Financial skills to assess business impact/results of initiatives
- Passion for leading a high performing team
Location
This position will be based at Port Kembla Coal Terminal (PKCT), Illawarra, New South Wales. This is a unique location, near the coastal city of Wollongong and approximately 75 kilometres south of Sydney.
