About the role
As the Track Force Protection Coordinator, you are integral to the success of V/Line's Safety - Track Protection Group.
You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing track protection for maintenance, renewal, and major works projects. Your work will be crucial in creating a safe environment for teams working on and around rail infrastructure.
Key accountabilities include:
- Act in the capacity Track Force Protection Coordinator and Hand Signaller as required.
- Implement and coordinate Track Protection Plans.
- Ensure compliance with 'Work on Track' Rules and Operating Procedures
- Ensuring that working environments that are established in the defined rail corridor provide for the safety and well-being of all workers and equipment.
- Lead Toolbox talks on Track Protection best practices.
- Conduct site safety inspections and audits.
About you
You are experienced working on track, with strong knowledge of 'Work on Track' rules, and a passion for safety.
In addition to this, our ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Experience working on track within Melbourne's Inner Suburban Area.
- Year 10 or equivalent
- Sound knowledge of the Vline 'Work on Track' Rules, Operating Procedures and supporting Section 34 appendices
- Minimum TFPC 3.2 competency, demonstrated experience working on track within the Vline Network and its key interface points with adjacent AROs.
- Current Industry Standard Safe Working Level of 3.2 or 3.3 competency.
- Strong understanding of rail safety procedures and track protection.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A Current Drivers licence is Essential
- Working knowledge of the various Microsoft programmes is desirable

Remuneration for this position will be in line with the V/Line Rail Asset Management Enterprise Agreement 2023 and paid as an IMW (TRACK) 2.5 $51.6967 per hour plus super.
