As the Senior Director of our WW Support sales team, you will develop and manage a high performing worldwide sales workforce. You will lead the Sales communities to enable our field to achieve our collective growth aspirations by building the capabilities and execution excellence in our sales disciplines. Partnering with colleagues in corporate leadership roles in Business Architecture, Programs and Initiatives, Marketing, this role will enable Support sales roles that maximize short, medium and long-term business impact, attract world class talent into these roles and build capability of existing Support sales professionals. This person will build approaches that harness the feedback, knowledge and power of our field communities to make our Support Offering, programs and people improve to deliver even more value to our customers. This leader will be an advocate for the field and will be counted on to represent the voice of the field and customers across our corporate functions.
Responsibilities
As a leader for the Support Sales business you will be accountable for:
- Sales Guidance and landing. Execute sales strategies and best practices to drive wins for each of the Support strategic growth areas and land sales guidance “on-the-road” with our field sellers. This includes visits to worldwide locations to deliver guidance and coaching with field and Global Blackbelt teams remotely.
- Customer deals. The worldwide lead will also sponsor key accounts as world-class sellers, engaging in strategic deals with our biggest customers. WW Sales leaders will work to land marquee wins to help build out our customer references within strategic industries. Engage and present to customers on key opportunities (EBCs) to help secure their technical decision and preference for Microsoft Support solutions.
- Digital Success adoption. Sales Leaders are accountable for the success of the Support business and their respective strategic growth areas. This includes engaging on Areas pipeline health and deal status for strategic opportunities and big bets categories. WW Sales leader is responsible for ensuring appropriate qualified pipeline is in place to achieve budget targets, identifying blockers to attainment, and driving resolution with core stakeholders.
- Lead the worldwide Sales field community to help drive best practices, increase capabilities and enable the WW sales to be more successful.Voice of the Customer. By consolidating field Sales and technical leaders input, identifying systemic issues impacting our sales execution with customers and partners, and representing these back to corporate stakeholders to drive required changes and drive success.
- Partners across Support Business Architecture, Sales Program & Initiatives, Support Global Black Belt, Support Offering and Marketing to ensure programs, initiatives, sales plays are packaged in a way they get consumed by the field. Ensure materials are relevant and effective in the field.
- WW Sales priorities and KPIs: Ensures that these are in place to achieve right outcomes for our customers and measure progress over time.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must be dynamic, passionate, self-motivated, confident in working with senior leaders and comfortable in a matrix organization. They need to be able to gain the trust and confidence of the communities they serve, and be a visible leader who can drive results and who truly makes a difference to the communities.
- 15+ years of distinguished experience in sales / GTM roles including Management experience
- Experience building forward-looking performance indicators that help anticipate issues
- Identifying unique and complex business challenges and solutions
- Experience working directly with senior executives
- 10-15% International travel
- Experience in subsidiaries/areas (emerging/developed countries)
- Excellent internal and external communications skills are required (written, verbal/presentation)
- Demonstrated passion and commitment for customer success

- Adept at challenging perspectives with new ideas that reframes thinking about deriving value from Microsoft solutions.

- Experience launching new products and building business (market makers)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Business Administration or Business Management or Industry related discipline. MBA a plus.
