As part of the Microsoft Solutions - Support Services sales organization, we are seeking a Director of Business Planning and Strategy. In this role, you will work across the Support Sales team to lead the Support Sales Corp to Corp Rhythm of the Business (RoB) and Corp to Field Rhythm of Connection (RoC) by bringing together the necessary components such as finance, sales, marketing, delivery etc to ensure robust input and dialogue during these key business meetings. This role will set the standard for business performance governance and task tracking management - resulting in optimized feedback and task execution channels that drive key issues and insights to meaningful resolution.

The candidate will be a highly determined, self-motivated individual who fosters cross-organizational relationships and builds trusted connections to ensure key sales insights and issues are highlighted, tracked, and successfully resolved.

Responsibilities

• Carefully plan the various processes aligned to key business meetings including, but not limited to Rhythm of Business (RoB), Rhythm of Connection (RoC), Virtual Solutions Unit (VSU) reviews, and Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs).

• Develop and manage the various business governance processes from prep to follow-up in partnership with relative stakeholders for each meeting type.

• Develop standardized templates, documentation, and processes to ensure meeting engines run smoothly while consistently identifying ways to simplify and optimize.

• Ensure a clear and consistent process for feedback and actions tracking with assigned ownership

• Ensure timely status reporting of all actions and follow-ups from the various meeting channels

• Ensure all relevant processes align and complement Solutions and MCAPS direction and standards, where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of strategy development experience in a strategy consulting or corporate strategy function

• Proven track record developing and delivering complex process and meeting frameworks in a simplified, organized, and clear operational rhythm for leaders to follow

• Demonstrated project management experience and the ability to effectively lead cross functional teams across multiple organizational boundaries

• Ability to learn and understand the business, capture meeting notes with relevant business context, and identify follow-up actions to resolve highly visible operational issues

• Leverage strong analytical skills to deliver insightful analysis of opportunity to improve

• Exceptional presentation skills with strong written and verbal communication styles

• Pragmatic approach to solving complex problems with a bias for action

• Executive presence with ability to influence at senior levels across Microsoft corporate and field leaders

• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.

The salary for this role in the state of Colorado is between $144,600 and $216,600.

At Microsoft, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
