The Microsoft Pro Bono Program helps inspire and empower Microsoft employees and community partners to create solutions that promote justice for all by providing those in need with access to legal knowledge, resources, and services.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Pro Bono, the Program Manager will focus on providing operational and programmatic support for the partnerships, events, resources, opportunities, and communications developed and managed by the program.
Responsibilities
Program Management and Support
- Help execute on Microsoft strategies and priorities related to the pro bono program.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of legal clinics and similar pro bono opportunities offered by the pro bono program.
- Adhere to project timelines, budgets, and plans for the pro bono program.
- Manage the end-to-end responsibilities involved with organizing, scheduling, and executing pro bono trainings and events.
- Facilitate program development, outreach, and execution and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders as needed.
- Manage tracking of metrics and data related to the impact of the pro bono program.
- Develop and implement processes for managing the work and projects of the team members who support the Microsoft Pro Bono team.
Technical Management
- Use existing technical solutions and contribute to the development of new ones related to employee engagement, data tracking and visualization, program communications, and volunteer training.
- Identify digital transformation opportunities for both the pro bono program and external partners and provide input about possible solutions and the feasibility and effort to take forward.
Internal and External Collaboration
- Participate in intra-group and/or cross-group projects.
- Escalate intra- and cross-group misalignment as needed.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 2+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years demonstrated program management experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Track record of professional and/or personal commitment to issues related to access to justice, legal aid and pro bono services and intellectual curiosity regarding the complexity of the subjects.
- 1+ years’ experience managing or supporting a pro bono, corporate social responsibility or related program.
- Knowledge of program management and project management principles.
- Experience working with legal aid organizations and non-profits and thinking through how to overcome challenges associated with limited organizational capacity for technology and data use.
- Professional background and/or lived experience related to access to legal services.
- Experience using Microsoft Teams especially as it relates to Teams meetings and Teams Live event functionality for participants and meeting coordinators/producers and creating and managing new Teams and channels.
- Experience using Microsoft SharePoint to create and edit SharePoint pages and lists; familiarity with using and configuring webparts; and knowledge of best practices for SharePoint permissions and taxonomy.
- Experience organizing and coordinating virtual events and meetings, including developing the ROB, reaching out to key stakeholders, and managing the live event.
- High EQ and people skills to interface effectively across varied stakeholder communities including external pro bono partners, Microsoft partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Desire to collaborate across a team and contribute to the success of others.
- Sound judgment, tact, diplomacy, integrity, and professionalism in all communications.
- Strong attention to detail with keen eye for problem-solving and troubleshooting.
- Experience working in an environment that required multi-tasking, meeting deadlines, attending to details, changing direction in rapid response to a fluctuating work environment and prioritizing among multiple projects.
- Experience communicating effectively in both written and verbal form.
- Proficiency with MS products including Outlook, Word, Teams, SharePoint, Excel and/or PowerPoint.

In Colorado, the salary range for the role is between $83,000-$125,000.
At Microsoft, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
