What are the roles all about?
Reconciliation and Value Control function within Technology Corporate Core, Ubank & Enabling Units is seeking a Senior Analyst with system accounting experience for a permanent position. The role is to primarily service NAB’s Enterprise Finance with system accounting functions and support project & portfolio management to drive successful deployment and implementation of changes to internal controls to provide quality assurance over financial, treasury and risk data.
This role will engage with key business stakeholders to understand, prioritise and ensure delivery and operations are in line with business objectives.
What will I be doing?
In this important analytical support and delivery role, key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Provide a reliable and efficient system accounting and system reconciliation service.
- Drive and support system related design, planning, strategy, testing, implementations and system control functions to meet business requirements.
- Drive successful delivery, deployment and implementation of change to protect the integrity of value and reconciliation controls embedded in the bank’s ecosystem being supported to continually meet NAB Group policies and external compliance obligations
- Proactively manage risk and compliance towards risk maturity or improve control risk profile, in line with NAB enterprise risk appetite and controls framework
- Continuously improve operations, procedures, and controls to improve efficiency and effectiveness of services to colleagues.
- Collaborate with key business stakeholders, technology, External & Internal Audit and Enterprise Controls to deliver a consistent approach for risk management, controls, procedures, quality, and controls across the domain.
Skills, attributes and experience required
To succeed in this role, you must be able to work in a fast-paced, at times ambiguous and complex environment and have:
- Proven experience and knowledge in System Accounting and reconciliations principles
- Strong system financial control including reconciliation, analysis, investigation and reporting
- Passion to learn systems and various interfaces to
- Strong stakeholder management at all levels
- Customer driven commercial approach to business
- Excellent problem solving, incident management and analytical skills with a focus on results
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with multiple teams
- Proven ability to use relevant data analytics approaches and tools to problem-solve and trouble-shoot.
- Experience and knowledge of SAP, HFM, Mainframe or Oracle e-business accounting suites an advantage.
- Degree qualifications in Commerce, Accounting or a relevant technical discipline.
- CA/CPA qualified.
- Knowledge of SQL is preferred
