We’ve reviewed and reshaped our Safety, Health & Wellbeing team, and have the exciting opportunity for talent to join our Safety, Health & Wellbeing Leadership team right here in Aotearoa. Reporting to the Head of Safety, Health & Wellbeing, the two new roles focus in on key areas where we have some great mahi ahead, and we are looking for superstars who are passionate to make a difference strategically and for our front line team, you need to be organised and passionate about people.

Are you a champion and able to be accountable for leading the strategic and operational focus of our material (critical) risks, or are you more of an assurance, systems or love getting your teeth into specific programmes of work? The two roles we have available are:
- Safety, Health & Wellbeing Manager - Material Risk
- Safety, Health & Wellbeing Manager - Assurance, Systems & Programmes
About the Roles | Mō te Tūranga
If you are a material (critical) risk champion, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the strategic and operational focus of our material (critical) risks across the business, to support the supply chain, store operations and CDX business units
- Coach, mentor and innovate with us as we build maturity of our material risk controls in our ever changing and innovative operational environment
- Collaborate across our wider ecosystem of businesses, to ensure that lessons learnt can be taken onboard in finding pragmatic and practical controls that operationally will make a difference for our team, customers, contractors, communities and wider across our sector
- Help us use data & insights, root cause analysis & identifying corrective actions that will make a substantial difference to our supply chain & supermarket operations, including last mile eCom delivery.
- Development of strong internal and external working relationships with key stakeholders, including industry bodies, subject matter experts and regulators.
If you are more into assurance, systems & programmes, here is an alternate role to consider:
- Be accountable for leading the overall WWNZ governance, assurance (including auditing) and safety management systems
- Support, map and assist in the professional development of the SH&W team, including networking and building WWNZ SH&W team ‘brand’ awareness
- Work collaboratively to develop the plan to reduce musculoskeletal / manual handling and injury prevention across WWNZ
- Support the identification, research and execution of continuous improvement projects across health, safety and wellbeing.
- Develop strong internal and external working relationships with key stakeholders

These roles are significant and key roles within our SH&W leadership team, so we are looking for special people that can lead, coach, mentor, challenge and help their stakeholders on the journey.

About You | Mōu
To succeed in these roles you will need to be an individual with a strong health, safety and wellbeing background, appropriate qualifications and at least 10 years SH&W experience. Highly desirable is experience within the FMCG sector, retail trading environments, awareness of the ACC AEP requirements, and specifically transport / supply chain and / or chain of responsibility experience.
