FAQS
Common questions
How long does it take to get started?
Most organisations complete the initial benchmark in a few hours, but it can be done in stages and at your own pace. While it is typically led by HR, People & Culture, or DEI leaders, occasional input may be required depending on your company structure. Once submitted, your initial benchmarking report and score are generated immediately, giving your team instant insights into strengths, opportunities, and next steps.
What information will we need to provide?
The benchmark focuses on 10 key drivers of workplace equity: inclusive hiring practices, representative leadership, flexible working arrangements, pay equity, shared caring responsibilities, employee voice and ERGs, career development, inclusive and anti-discriminatory culture, employee support and safety services, and strategic commitments. Most questions relate to existing policies and practices rather than requiring large data uploads.
How do benchmarking and scoring work?
Your responses are assessed across the ten key drivers of workplace equity and benchmarked against other employers in the WORK180 network. This helps organisations understand where they are performing strongly and where opportunities for improvement exist.
Is our data secure and confidential?
Yes. Employer data is treated confidentially and is never shared. It is only used to generate benchmarking insights at an industry and aggregated level. If your organisation chooses to pursue WORK180 Endorsed Employer status, certain forward-facing information about your workplace policies and benefits will then be shared publicly to support your employer brand and hiring strategy. This content and publication information is always controlled by you and your team via our platform.
How do most teams use the insights?
Most organisations use their insights to set clear priorities, demonstrate progress, and meet emerging gender equity requirements. Common uses include setting and tracking measurable goals, identifying quick wins and long-term strategic priorities, supporting leadership discussions and board reporting, building internal business cases for new initiatives, and strengthening employer branding by showcasing workplace policies and progress to candidates and stakeholders.
How does it support WGEA reporting?
The framework aligns with recognised gender equity standards and reflects many of the workplace practices organisations track for WGEA reporting and gender equality targets. Many employers use the benchmark to establish a baseline, identify priority areas, and track progress against their targets over time.
