The Position
Our Database Specialists Team are incredibly talented experts who design, build, run & optimise database architecture for our customers. Your expertise along with our project team will deliver mission critical projects and ensure the day to day operations provide support to key clients database systems, which includes incident response, tracking and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver comprehensive solutions to customers
- Ensure data integrity, security and ongoing maintenance of clusters and databases
- Build database systems of high availability and quality based on customer requirements
- Minimise database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
- Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and version when required
- Strong experience in Oracle and Microsoft SQL database design and support
- Experience with AWS and Azure RDS
- Experience building database schemes, tables, procedures and permissions.
- Prior involvement creating shell scripts for task automation
- Experience in installing and testing upgrades, patches and implementing security and encryption
- Experience in ITIL change management
- $135,000 base salary + super + 5% bonus + Over time + 5 weeks annual leave
