We deliver on the promise of technology and human ingenuity every day, serving clients in more than 120 countries. We combine our strength in technology with unmatched industry experience, functional expertise and global delivery capability. We are committed to creating positive change and delivering value for our clients, people, shareholders, partners and communities.
About the Role
We are looking for a Solution Lead to join Accenture's Resources & Energy practice in a client-embedded role based in Adelaide, South Australia.
You will work alongside the client's Capital Growth & Strategy team to ensure technology strategy intent is embedded into major capital investment programs and a portfolio of smaller technology projects. This is a bridging role — sitting at the intersection of technology strategy, capital project delivery, and operational transformation.
The client is a global resources company executing one of the largest capital programs in their sector, spanning multiple concurrent major projects across smelting, mining, concentrating, and power transmission. The scale and complexity of the environment makes this a genuinely challenging and high-visibility role.
What You'll Do
Technology Integration
- Analyse the client's technology strategy and translate requirements into actionable capital project scope inputs
- Identify gaps where capital project scopes do not reflect technology strategy intent and develop structured recommendations
- Work with project teams, engineers, EPCMs, and technology stakeholders to embed requirements into design and delivery processes
- Track and report on technology strategy alignment across the capital program
Small Projects Portfolio
- Support scoping, analysis, and business case development for technology projects under $20M
- Maintain visibility of portfolio status, dependencies, and strategic alignment
- Facilitate coordination between technology and capital delivery teams
Stakeholder Engagement & Analysis
- Build effective working relationships across technology, capital projects, and operations functions
- Produce clear analysis, gap assessments, and recommendations for senior stakeholder review
- Communicate complex requirements across technical and executive audiences
- Support governance reporting and senior briefings
What We're Looking For
Required
- Experience in a business analysis, strategy, or project advisory role
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate strategic intent into practical delivery requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication — comfortable across technical and executive audiences
- Experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Based in Adelaide, SA — on-site presence is required
Valued
- Exposure to capital projects in mining, resources, energy, utilities, or heavy industry
- Familiarity with technology or digital transformation programs in industrial settings
- Understanding of operational technology, automation, or digital solutions in asset-intensive industries
- Familiarity with capital project investment frameworks (stage-gate, FEL/FEED, or equivalent)
- Knowledge of mining or resources operations
Why This Role
- Embedded with a global resources client at the centre of a major capital growth program
- High-visibility work connecting technology strategy to real capital investment decisions
- Flexible seniority — the role will be calibrated to the right candidate
- Adelaide-based with genuine on-site engagement in a complex, asset-intensive environment
- Part of Accenture's growing Resources & Energy practice with strong client relationships
Location
Adelaide, SA. This is a full-time in location role. Candidates must be based in Adelaide. Remote or FIFO arrangements are not suitable for this position.
