Accenture Song | Media | Sydney
Purpose of the Role
The Performance Manager role is suited to someone who combines established media expertise with a genuine hunger and enthusiasm for AI and technology.
You’ll be responsible for executing and optimising day-to-day media buying activities across the channels where our clients activate their performance strategy, most often Search and Social.
The role involves managing budgets, ensuring campaign goals and value are delivered, adhering to best practices and helping define effective processes.
We’re looking for someone with 3-5+ years of media experience, with a strong focus on biddable media buying, who can play a key role in managing campaigns end-to-end. This includes KPI setting, briefing media, building campaigns and reporting on key learnings.
You’ll bring experience across major global platforms and ideally developing knowledge across analytics, app measurement, data implementation and audience design.
Critically, this role will continue to evolve as AI becomes increasingly embedded within the media process. The role will move from managing predominantly junior team members toward increasingly managing and working alongside AI agents. At Accenture Song, we’ll support this through ongoing learning and development, empowering you to build on existing processes and practices while contributing ideas for AI and technology improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and optimise media buying activities across various channels and platforms to achieve campaign goals and deliver value.
- Assist in the management and deployment of AI agents across the media process.
- Implement media buys in alignment with best-practice guidelines and established processes.
- Continuously iterate through in-flight and post-campaign media optimisation and recommendations to improve performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery of media campaigns.
- Monitor and report on campaign performance, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of tracking and measurement setup, including pixels, CAPI, SDK/app measurement, tagging and ad-server concepts, with the ability to troubleshoot measurement issues.
- Co-own WIPs and QBRs and confidently present activation results, going beyond simply producing reports.
- Help manage junior and support team members, developing their media buying craft and supporting their career development.
- Build strong relationships across the media partner market to help bring big ideas to life and drive value for clients.

- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- A strong testing and measurement mindset, including an understanding of incrementality and experimentation frameworks.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Familiarity with media finance processes and reconciliation.
- Proficiency across relevant media buying tools and platforms.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of traditional and direct digital media buying practices. We work best when we work connected as one.
