- Define and govern SAP application architecture across SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP landscapes.
- Translate business and functional requirements into scalable technical solution designs and implementation approaches.
- Lead architecture and technical-design workshops with client stakeholders, SAP teams, and external vendors.
- Ensure solutions align with SAP clean-core principles, extensibility guidance, security requirements, and enterprise architecture standards.
- Review solution designs, technical specifications, development estimates, integration patterns, and code quality.
- Identify opportunities to reduce customisation and adopt standard, side-by-side, or cloud-based extension approaches.
Technical Delivery & Team Leadership
- Provide technical leadership across SAP ABAP, ABAP on HANA, ABAP Cloud, CDS Views, AMDP, OData, RAP, Fiori Elements, and SAP BTP application development.
- Guide development and integration teams on application design, custom extensions, interfaces, performance, and development standards.
- Oversee technical delivery, task allocation, resource planning, effort estimation, design reviews, and quality assurance.
- Provide direction and hands-on support for complex, critical, or technically challenging requirements.
- Mentor technical leads and developers and build capability across distributed delivery teams.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Act as the primary bridge between business requirements, project delivery, and SAP technical architecture.
- Build strong working relationships with client stakeholders, program leadership, SAP, partners, and third-party vendors.
- Communicate complex technical concepts, architecture decisions, delivery risks, and options clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Manage cross-team dependencies, expectations, design decisions, and delivery commitments.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience leading enterprise SAP implementation, transformation, integration, upgrade, or migration programs.
- Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA application architecture, technical delivery, and development governance.
- Hands-on experience with SAP BTP and modern SAP extensibility and integration approaches.
- Technical expertise in one or more of the following: ABAP, ABAP on HANA, ABAP Cloud, CDS, AMDP, OData, RAP, Fiori Elements, or SAP BTP development.
- Experience managing large, geographically distributed, multidisciplinary delivery teams.
- Strong project management skills covering planning, estimation, resourcing, risk management, issue resolution, governance, testing, deployment, and Hypercare.
- Excellent stakeholder-management, client-facing, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- SAP architecture, development, SAP Activate, SAP BTP, cloud, or project-management certifications are an added advantage.
