THE WORK: As a GIS Specialist, you’ll help clients leverage geospatial technologiesto solve complex business and infrastructure challenges. This includes designing, implementing, and maintaining GIS solutions that integrate with broader digital transformation strategies.
Location : Across Australia where there is an Accenture Office - Hybrid 2-3 days in Accenture office or client office requirements.

What You’ll Do
Data Management: Build, maintain, and optimize GIS databases and spatial data infrastructures.
Analysis & Modeling: Perform spatial analysis, mapping, and visualization to support decision-making.
Consulting: Work with clients to understand requirements and deliver tailored GIS solutions.
Integration: Configure and troubleshoot GIS platforms, including Esri/ArcGIS and ETL tools like FME.
Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams in utilities, urban planning, and environmental engineering projects.
Innovation: Apply scripting (Python, SQL) to automate workflows and improve efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in ArcGIS/Esri software
- Strong knowledge of Python and SQL
- Experience with ETL frameworks (e.g., FME)
Professional Skills:
Requirements analysis and business model strategy expertise
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to translate spatial requirements into high-level solutions
Education & Experience:
Relevant tertiary qualification in GIS, geography, environmental science, or related field
Qualifications
Due to client requirements Australian Citizenship is essential to be considered for this role.
