Job Description:
The GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) Analyst is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organisation’s information security governance framework. The role focuses on drafting and maintaining security management artefacts, facilitating risk management processes, supporting business continuity activities, and ensuring alignment with applicable security standards, regulatory obligations, and internal policies.
The position operates at the intersection of security, risk, compliance, and business operations to ensure security controls are appropriately designed, documented, and governed.
Qualifications
Key Skills:
- Strong understanding of risk management methodologies.
- Experience aligning security controls to ISO, NIST, or government security frameworks.
- ISO/IEC 27001
- NIST Cybersecurity Framework
- Australian Government Information Security Manual
- Protective Security Policy Framework
- Ability to draft clear, structured governance documentation.
- Experience with stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Desirable:
- Experience in government or regulated industry environments.
- Familiarity with IRAP, certification & accreditation processes.
- Exposure to cloud security governance (e.g., AWS).
- Experience using GRC tooling (e.g., Archer, ServiceNow GRC, etc).
