The Role:
As the Alliance General Manager of the Southern Program Alliance you will provide leadership and guidance inspiring the direction and delivery of the Program, development of the team and drive for future change.

The Project:
The Southern Program Alliance is one of five alliances setup to deliver the Victorian government's Level Crossing Removal Program. Southern Program Alliance has removed 12 level crossings and built six new stations on the Frankston Line since 2018. At a total cost of almost $4 billion, the current projects include removing level crossings at Glen Huntly and Parkdale as well as building new stations at Glen Huntly and Parkdale; duplicating track along the Hurstbridge Line as well as building two new Greensborough and Montmorency stations; and upgrading fire systems upgrades to the Melbourne Underground Rail Loop.
Key accountabilities:
- Provide strategic direction and guidance on the development and execution of end-to-end project planning, including budgeting, scheduling and resourcing allocation
- Drive the SPA organisational values of Creativity, Accountability, Relationships, Empowerment and Safety and wellbeing (CARES) to achieve outstanding outcomes for the SPA Program and the client
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to all project stakeholders, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence
- Develop, educate, and monitor detailed project budget and forecast cashflows / milestones
- Facilitate approval of project specific quality, sustainability and environmental requirements
- Manage, monitor, and mitigate project risks through the risk management plan, provide high level advice to the Alliance Leadership Team in relation to risks and interdependencies
Skills and Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Extensive experience in the rail or civil Infrastructure industry
- Experience leading project functions and multi-disciplinary teams
- Demonstratable executive experience as a leader and change manager
- Experience in reporting to a Board of Directors
