About The Project
ACCIONA has been selected to deliver Western Harbour Tunnel - Stage 2, Sydney's third harbour crossing. The new Western Harbour Tunnel (WHT) will connect to WestConnex at the Rozelle Interchange, cross underneath Sydney Harbour between Birchgrove and Waverton, and connect with the Warringah Freeway near North Sydney.
Project scope includes:

  • Construction of approximately 4.8 kilometres of mainline tunnels with three lanes in each direction
  • Civil, Mechanical and Electrical fitout of Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunnels
  • Surface level work, including on and off ramps and tie-in work to the Warringah Freeway

About the Traineeship

The Western Harbour Tunnel Project is excited to offer on-the-job training in conjunction with the study support of a Certificate III in Business Administration. If you hold this qualification, further traineeship options will also be available, ensuring the successful candidate is provided with a development opportunity to progress in the function of their choice.

These functions include:

  • Operational Services (Training, Indigenous Participation, Community & Stakeholder Engagement)
  • Construction teams (Tunnel and Civil)
  • People & Culture
  • Safety

At the completion of the Certificate III in Business Administration, there will be additional job specific qualifications on offer including Certificate IV Work, Health and Safety & Certificate IV in Human Resource Management.
