The Opportunity
Due to the growth of our business in Western Australia, we have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Western Region Senior Leadership Team as Manager, Environment and Sustainability based in Perth, WA.
As Discipline Lead, you will provide strategic guidance and support across an array of environment and sustainability themed topics to support the delivery of Regenerative Infrastructure aligned to ACCIONA's Way of Working.
This position will report directly to the National Manager Environment and Sustainability, however, will form part of the Western Region Senior Leadership Team on a day-to-day basis and directly support Business Unit Operations and projects. Due to the size of the Region and location of projects, this Position will require intermittent travel to fulfil the role requirements.
Key accountabilities for the position will be:
- Lead and deliver outcomes consistent with ACCIONA's Environmental Management System (ISO14001) and aligned to ACCIONA's Sustainability Master Plan.
- Manage and review Origination (pre-contract) Team deliverables including the coordination of resources and expertise's to support the pursuit.
- Liaise with external stakeholders (i.e. regulators, clients, industry bodies, consultants, etc) across strategic and operational environment and sustainability topics.
- Review and audit active projects against contractual and management system requirements to maintain a high level of compliance.
- Maintain a strong leadership presence through regular site visits and participating in project client and regulator inspections & audits, delivery of training sessions, toolbox talks, etc.
- Lead and/or support the investigation and review of critical incidents, development of regulator responses and production of lesson learnt collateral to prevent reoccurrence.
- Provide expertise and guidance supporting sustainability rating schemes such as Infrastructure Sustainability Council IS Rating and Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) GreenStar ratings.
About You:
- Degree in the field of Environmental Science / Engineering or Sustainability Management (or equivalent proven experience)
- Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professional (ISAP) and/or Green Star Accredited Professional (GSAP) with onsite experience will be highly regarded.
