The Opportunity

Due to our Acciona, MACA, AECOM (AMA) Alliance being selected as the preferred proponent on the Ring Road Completion Project we are seeking to appoint a Digital Engineering Coordinator - VDC working out of the Collingwood project office initially but moving to site as required.

The Project
This package of works covers the design and construction of the North East Link between the M80 - Plenty Rd interchange, and the north tunnel entrance at Watsonia. Works include three kilometres of new freeway, two kilometres of freeway upgrades, construction of retaining walls and bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, and urban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be complete in 2028.

Key accountabilities for the position

• Coordinate the collaborative production, maintenance, and dissemination of digital Information using inputs from Design, Engineering and Construction to deliver valued digital engineering outcomes for the alliance.
  
• Train and facilitate implementation of BIM workflows
  
• 4D Model federation and maintaining the single source of truth information sharing
  
• Facilitate use of BIM technology including file interoperability and BIM Authoring Tools
  
• Assist in the facilitation of 3D virtual trade coordination of work in the field
  
• Enable the Improvement of 4D planning within Construction Occupations
  
• Assist in the maintenance of BIM models for field operations
  
• Support integrated planning workflows using Synchro and Primavera P6 including but not limited to, integration of cost, quantities and resources into planned activities.
  
• Assist with model-based quantity extractions (5D) to inform cost and construction planning activities.
  
• Support internal and external stakeholders with Integrated Delivery workflows
  
• Support development of Construction phase designs, including but not limited to, temporary works, sequencing and methodology models.
  
• Facilitate construction phase constructability and safety reviews leveraging design, reality data, survey and programme.
  

Skills & Experience Required

• Experience in construction and delivery of major infrastructure projects (Civil, Structural, Rail and Buildings Engineering) will be highly regarded.
  
• Diploma or higher level qualification in a relevant field is required.
  
• Proven Experience with 4D and 5D BIM will be particularly advantageous as will be experience working to confederated models and advising delivery teams on sequencing/planning for improvements in efficiencies and safety
  
• Highly developed communications skills and an ability to persuade & influence whilst working collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders.
