The Opportunity
With over two billion dollars' worth of work in hand and a healthy pipeline of future projects ahead, our western region is experiencing an exciting period of growth. To help support this growth we are seeking to bring a Senior Safety Advisor into our corporate team based in Northbridge.
As a Safety Advisor you will report directly to our Regional Safety Manager and will be responsible for providing expert advice and support to our project delivery teams on all Health and Safety related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake regular and systematic inspections and audits across multiple project sites, covering management systems, safe work procedures, behavioral safety, and preventative measures.
- Undertake site safety walks and incident investigations using ICAM as required.
- Advise our Engineers on and assist them with the preparation of safety related documentation.
- Assess high-risk activities in conjunction with the appropriate personnel and recommend the best approach to take.
Requirements:
- Cert 4 or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Lead Auditor & ICAM Lead Investigator qualifications are desirable.
- Experience with Incident Investigation (ICAM/Root Cause or equivalent).
- Proven knowledge of a risk and incident system, including leading risk assessments.
- Demonstrated extensive experience in safety and compliance.
