The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior GIS Analyst to join our team in Melbourne. The Senior GIS Analyst plays a pivotal role in transforming spatial data into actionable insights, driving innovation across our business unit and its projects.
This dynamic role encompasses end-to-end spatial data management, advanced GIS analysis, and the creation of cutting-edge spatial content tailored to project and business needs. Additionally, the position involves designing and configuring intuitive web and mobile GIS applications, ensuring they remain robust, user-friendly, and up-to-date. Key responsibilities:
- Deliver expert GIS analysis and create innovative spatial content to address complex business challenges, ensuring actionable insights for projects and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the GIS Manager to design, configure, and maintain web and mobile GIS applications, keeping them user-friendly and relevant to business needs.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, acting as the go-to expert for GIS analysis, mapping requests, and spatial data solutions.
- Manage the acquisition, cleansing, translation, and transmittal of spatial data, coordinating seamlessly with external organizations and project teams.
- Produce high-quality cartographic mapping products and support data visualization needs across the business unit and its projects.
About You:
- Relevant GIS industry experience, with advanced proficiency in the ESRI suite, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, and related mobile and web applications.
- Proven expertise in stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, and delivering tailored GIS solutions that meet diverse business needs.
- Hands-on experience in maintaining and optimizing web and mobile GIS application content, with VertiGIS Studio Web Workflow and ETL tools like FME Desktop and Server highly regarded.
- Exceptional GIS analysis skills, with a strong ability to transform complex spatial data into actionable insights and high-quality deliverables.
