Acciona are seeking an experienced Area Manager to join our expanding team. This role will be instrumental in the construction of a Desalinisation Plant project based in Alkimos.
The Project
The Alkimos SeaWater Alliance project will deliver WA's next major water source - A new seawater desalination plant at Alkimos. At completion of stage 1 the plant will supply up to 50 billion litres of clean, safe drinking water to millions of Western Australians each year.
The Role
To help us deliver this project we are seeking an Area Manager - Buildings. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the management, coordination, and successful execution of the buildings on ASWA. This role involves managing the delivery of building projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Key accountabilities for the position
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of construction projects, from planning and design through to completion and handover.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring that milestones are met.
- Review and approve project plans, designs, and specifications to ensure compliance with project objectives.
- Lead a team of site supervisors, and other personnel involved in construction activities.
- Develop and manage the construction budget for each project, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and other key stakeholders throughout the project.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management role delivering similar building construction projects.
- Familiarity with construction management software and project management tools
- Proven experience in construction project management or building management, with a focus on large-scale building projects.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading diverse teams.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building systems, and project management tools.
