We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Transportation Team, primarily based in Brisbane. Candidates based in Perth, Sunshine Coast, or Gold Coast are also welcome to apply however, there is no requirement to relocate to Brisbane. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the design of bridges and highway structures, with a proven track record in delivering infrastructure projects.
In this role, you will be part of a highly experienced team delivering a diverse portfolio of bridge and civil infrastructure projects for local, regional, and interstate clients. You will have the opportunity to further develop your technical, design, asset management, and project management capabilities while working alongside experienced and collaborative colleagues in a supportive, high-performing environment. You will engage with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, playing a key role in project delivery and client interactions. This role also offers the opportunity to contribute to business growth, with a strong team culture focused on collaboration, knowledge sharing, and achieving shared success.
How you’ll make a difference
- Develop practical and innovative solutions by adapting standard methods to meet engineering challenges.
- Apply strong communication skills and attention to quality to deliver clear, high-standard engineering outcomes meet client expectations.
- Gather and analyse data, perform calculations and analyses using established procedures to deliver projects within agreed budget and schedule.
- Support successful project delivery by mentoring junior engineers while actively contributing to team and personal development.
The qualities that help you thrive

- 6–12 years’ experience in structural engineering design - essential.
- Experience working on bridge-related infrastructure – very highly regarded;
- Experience working for an engineering design consultancy – highly regarded;
- Experience in the following is desirable:
- Design and verification
- Construction phase technical support
- Bridge Inspections
- Structural assessment and refurbishment
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g. SpaceGass, Strand7, LUSAS, Midas) and Microsoft Office Packages.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) – essential;
- CPEng or near‑chartered with Engineers Australia - very highly regarded
- RPEQ accreditation – very highly regarded
