AECOM’s Building Engineering group is looking for a highly driven professional Project Manager to join our Structural Engineering Team, based in Sydney. As a member of our team you will provide project and design management input to contribute to a range of projects across Commercial, Defence, Retail and Residential projects.
Working with a team of experts, this role will give you the opportunity to further develop your project management skills. You will work with the structural engineering team to drive successful planning of the projects, from proposal stage to delivery.
This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys working in a multi-disciplinary environment, with engineers, drafters and designers at varying levels of experience.
Minimum Requirements
- 3 – 6 years engineering design management and project management experience;
- Experience working for a multi-discipline engineering design consultancy – essential.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing project management plans, documentation and ongoing management and monitoring of project status.
- Ability to achieve and maintain high levels of quality and consistency of outputs.
- Exceptional levels of written and oral communication
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- PRINCE2/ APM qualified.
- MCIOB Chartered Status.
- Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Packages.
As a professional Project Manager you will:
- Prepare project management documentation including documentation including resource plans, budgets, programs, risk management documents, project reviews, change management documentation and project closures.
- Input and maintain management plans in AECOM management systems.
- Prepares for and participates in monthly project reviews; and executes resulting action items
- Fosters capture and sharing of knowledge and lessons learned to support continuous improvement
- Guides and oversees the establishment of the project governance structure (budget, scope and schedule); reviews with Manager
- Manages project financial performance
- Ensures execution of project deliverables consistent with the Project Plan
- Be an active member of the structural engineering team and contribute to the team’s success.
