Are you an experienced Transport Planner, Pavement Engineer or Aviation specialist ready to step into a senior leadership role where your strategic insight will shape major transport and infrastructure outcomes? What you’ll do
You’ll lead a multidisciplinary Transport Planning, Pavements & Aviation Team, blending your aviation/transport planning expertise with technical delivery and client strategy. In this role you will:
- Lead and grow transport planning, highway, and aviation-related engineering projects, driving excellence from concept through delivery.
- Build trusted partnerships with government agencies, airport authorities, transport planners and private sector clients to expand AECOM’s footprint in aviation and broader mobility infrastructure.
- Apply your deep planning experience to inform network modelling, capacity analysis, corridor planning and integrated transport solutions that balance road, air and intermodal connections.
- Oversee project governance, risk and commercial performance to deliver high-quality outcomes that shape how people and goods move across regions.
- Champion digital tools and innovative planning methods to future-proof transport networks and strengthen bids and delivery capability.

You might be right for this if you have:
A strong blend of aviation or transport planning experience, proven leadership in multimodal infrastructure and a passion for shaping transport outcomes that matter.
The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick every box, we still encourage you to apply.
- Extensive experience in aviation and transport planning within a consulting or infrastructure environment, including airports, surface access and multimodal transport networks
- Strong working knowledge of aviation pavements, airside and landside infrastructure, and how pavement design, maintenance and asset planning integrate with broader airport operations
- Proven experience leading complex planning and infrastructure projects, from strategic studies and business cases through to delivery support
- Demonstrated ability to operate as a trusted advisor to airport operators, government agencies and transport authorities
- Experience contributing to or leading major pursuits, bids and growth initiatives across aviation, transport planning or pavement-related infrastructure
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing risk, budgets and governance on large, high-profile programs
- A collaborative leadership style with a track record of developing high-performing teams and technical capability
