Role Purpose
Aesop ANZ are seeking a dedicated and passionate Retail Design and Development Coordinator to join us on a 12 month fixed term basis, within our brand new Global Head Office in Collingwood. This role is responsible for managing store projects, a high level of administrative and practical support to the ANZ Retail Design and Development Team.
Key responsibilities (but not limited to)
Working within the regional Australian and New Zealand store design team, you’ll be a key member in delivering new store projects.
The role will support the store design team, in ensuring projects are completed within design, budget and timing expectations – with a focus on the below.
Managing Aesop store projects and minor works from tender phase through to completion
Site progress inspections – running meetings with contractors and vendors to ensure timely and satisfactory completion of works
Inspecting locally made joinery items, confirming these are being built to required design and timing outcomes
Distributing updates and relevant meeting minutes to key stakeholders within the business
Review drawings, ensuring they are compliant with internal operational standards
Procuring fixtures, fittings and material samples
Completing and submitting internal documents
Invoicing and updating budget trackers relevant to each project
Who we are looking for:
Background/qualification in Design, Architecture is advantageous
Experience in delivering retail store projects or construction project management experience
A commitment to and passion for Aesop’s retail design environment, customer service and teams
Understanding of retail and construction industries
Able to work across multiple projects and prioritise where necessary
Ability to read 2D architectural drawings
Creative and practical thinker – able to work through problems that arise on projects
Proficient in Adobe Suite and Excel
A high level of attention to detail and the ability to analyse problems and deliver results
