Role Purpose
Aesop are seeking a dynamic and commercial minded ANZ Retail Property Manager to join our Retail team operating with a hybrid working pattern, based at our global head office in Collingwood. Reporting to Head of Retail ANZ, Regional Property Manager will lead the function overseeing all the properties within the ANZ’s growing portfolio including ~44 stores, 2 corporate offices and a R&D centre and 2 roaming activations. Property Manager will design and review the ANZ property strategy and own 5-year planning process and global requirements for property.
Key responsibilities (not limited to)
Building and maintaining genuine relationships with our landlords both institutional and individual and other property related stakeholders
Managing renewals for existing doors and delivering the best commercial / branding outcome for Aesop (framing up options on extensions and presenting with relevant commercial comparisons)
Managing office leases and interactions
Managing pipeline for new doors and driving the decision making on these doors with leadership (presenting options on sites, as well as options on portfolio in a structured manner)
Negotiating and locking in new doors
Ensuring we have adequate information to progress with the store design process from our landlords
Owning relevant processes with Global property (ie. ROIC approvals)
Defining and locking in the annual plan (incl. locations) for our roaming activations
Refreshing the annual programme as required (ie. quarterly to achieve the best branding / commercial outcome)
Supporting the team on all leasing topics across the business (ie. Storage, renewals, offices etc)
Managing and developing one direct report

What we are looking for
Solid experience in a similar role
Strategic thinking to drive our forward plan of opening / consolidation
Strong negotiation skills – experience negotiating lease agreements, new doors opening etc.
Commercial acumen – ability to build store economics (ROICs), commercial scenarios
Proven ability to build genuine relationships with retail landlords and internal and external stakeholders
Understanding of the ANZ retail landscape and leading practices
Strong organisational skills and ability to analyse data and provide insights driven solution
