Purpose of the role
We are seeking a driven and methodical Accounts Payable Officer join us full-time within our brand new, purpose built Global Head Office in Collingwood.
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, Account Payable Officer for ANZ is responsible for managing all aspects of Accounts Payable related issues and query in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.
In this position, you will support effective financial management and administration of Aesop’s Australian and New Zealand Retail business, and Head Office, ideally identify inefficiencies as well as implement improvements to support the business.
You will be responsible for ensuring financial records are maintained, preparing financial reporting to support operations and overall financial governance requirements. You will also be responsible for cash sales reconciliations and petty cash reimbursements to support the ANZ Retail business.
Examples of what your day might look like:
Planning of weekly payment run for Aesop Retail and Aesop New Zealand
Processing monthly rent payments for Aesop ANZ
Processing cash reimbursements and petty cash reimbursements for AR and ANZ retail stores.
Processing ad hoc manual payments, ie. tax payments, refund to customer, cash deposit for new stores.
Review submitted invoices and amend where required for approval and processing.
Upload invoices into Netsuite ensuring appropriate approval flow.
Check “Aesop Vendor Bill Status” report for any unprocessed invoices in the system without a matrix
Distribute Credit Card statements to card holders for collating receipts and reconciliations.
Reconciling Procurement Credit Card Transactions.
Setting up new credit card application and request of credit limit amendment.
Bank Reconciliation for all AR and NZ banks performed on weekly basis, investigate any discrepancies and returned payments.
Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
Run fortnightly finance induction for new starters or as required.
Organize training for Netsuite and Expensify as required.
What we are looking for
2+ years in a similar role, retail sector highly regarded;
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related field (or seeking CA or CPA qualifications);
Accounts Payable experience and exposure to Accounts Receivable
Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills essential
Experience with NetSuite ERP system and Cegid (POS Software) is advantageous however not essential.
Demonstrated skills in using your initiative to drive and implement efficiencies
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong time management and organisational skills
