Role Purpose:
Aesop are seeking a motivated and passionate Digital Product Owner to join our high performing Digital Products team, based in our purpose-built Head Office in Collingwood Melbourne. This role will report directly into our Global Head of Digital Products.
In this role, you will work within a dedicated Digital Product team and be accountable for enhancing and progressing the capability of Aesop.com and other digital channels. The product Owner is responsible for the delivery of the prioritised work generated by the team in order to ensure the most valuable and proper functionality of the products in their space.
What a day in this role might look like:
Delivery of product roadmap initiatives including new features, optimisations of existing functionality and addressing key tech debt items that will result in achieving the product team key metrics and supporting where required omnichannel, global and regional strategies
Support the Product Manager/s with high-level requirements discovery, solution design, user story writing, development, UAT and deployment/go-to-market plans
Support the product team (developers, designers, testers, specialists) to execute the team vision and roadmap
Work with the Product Manager/s and cross functional teams regularly to ensure alignment on feature development and prioritization
Take accountability for the quality of the team’s released work and monitor/evaluate performance to ensure constant product iteration and improvements
Oversee agile scrum rituals and overall team health and performance
Support the product team vision, OKRs and roadmap working closely with global business stakeholders to ensure priorities are aligned and supported
Working with the Product Manager to convert the digital product vision and digital strategy into a deliverable product roadmap, covering both new feature delivery and uplift of existing global functionality on Aesop.com
Participate in research, validation and whitespace analysis to identify new opportunities for new and existing features and functionalities
Conduct business casing to ensure business value, benefits and KPIs are well defined and measured in order to iteratively enhance the digital product
What we are looking for:
Prior experience as a Product owner in ecommerce, retail & consumer sectors (desired)
Exposure with product/software development in a digital team / Agile scrum environment, leading development, UX and data teams
Experience with CMS solutions and martech platforms (Social media, CRM, CDPs)
Understanding of SEO, both technical (on-stie) and non-technical (off-site) and digital marketing strategies
Proficient with web analytics tools and analysis (such as Google Analytics)
International experience, with a view of global best practices and customer experiences (desired)
Strong analytical and communication skills
Highly collaborative with experience in working in agile development teams
Understanding of user experience and omni-channel customer journeys in retail
Appreciation of the balance between creativity, driving commercial uplift and managing core technology requirements
Awareness of customer consent and accessibility requirements as related to digital products
