ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a talented and passionate Creative Producer to oversee video production of AFL marketing campaigns. The role works closely with the AFL marketing team and Creative Executive Producer to execute marketing campaigns across AFL and AFLW channels.
Our people and fans have an unbridled passion and a strong sense of community, and you will be joining a team that is very focused on working together to drive audience, commercial growth and interest in the game.
The right candidate will be responsible for:
- The production and creation of a vast range of marketing campaigns and TVC’
- Collaborating with the Marketing team to ideate and come up with best creative solutions to drive audience interest, engagement, and game attendance
- The execution of internal AFL campaigns to help promote our digital channels and content (you will contribute to the creation of content and oversee the entire process)
- Exhibiting a creative flair throughout the end-to-end production experience
- Demonstrating and encouraging a new way of thinking and an all-round passion for developing outstanding creative communications.
The position requires extensive experience in delivering high end TVC’s on budget and on time and this candidate won’t be overawed by a creative challenge. You will use your positive attitude to creatively solve issues as they arise and be able to work to short timelines. You will work with internal resources within AFL Studios to deliver projects but will have the ability to engage external production agencies through the strong relationships you have in the industry. You will be familiar with how to write and assess a creative treatment and work alongside external agencies to achieve great outcomes for the AFL.
You will enjoy working in a close-knit team, demonstrating elite stakeholder manager skills – including internal departments, crew, external production agencies, other content creators, music/artist agents and talent. You will be responsible for budget management, trafficking content and reporting and optimising as necessary.

OUR IDEAL TEAM MEMBER
Core Competencies:
- Significant TVC production experience
- A highly organised approach to pre and post production
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- A creative flair and passion for great content
- Experience producing marketing campaigns and the multiple outputs necessary for a successful campaign
- An ability to pitch creative ideas internally and externally to creative and production agencies
- An ability to direct film crews to deliver desired outcomes
- An ability to connect with talent and direct accordingly
- A strong understanding of video production budgeting and reporting
- CAD and distribution knowledge
- Strong product and best practice knowledge regarding video distribution platform and channels including, but not limited to:
- Broadcast (Linear/OTT, website and app)
- Social media platforms and channels such as Facebook (including Watch and Stories), Instagram (including IGTV, Stories and Reels), Twitter, YouTube and TikTok (Preferred)
- Strong written communication skills
- Some AFL knowledge (AFL and AFLW)
- The ability to self-produce and work autonomously
- A commitment to being an excellent team player
