ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Managing Editor – Distribution & AFL On Demand, you will be responsible for driving new branded content opportunities and managing partner activations for the AFL Digital network. You will be working closely with several internal departments and external partners. You will identify, develop and deliver on commercial opportunities, from branded content campaigns, to the marketing of AFL products and events.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF
Key Accountabilities:
- Managing the implementation of branded content across AFL Digital’s social and editorial channels
- Identifying opportunities within the AFL Digital content plan for partner integration
- Providing clear direction to other members of the social team to ensure campaign delivery
- Crafting distribution plans for branded content campaigns across AFL Digital channels
- Establishing reporting processes upon which various stakeholders can derive meaningful insights
- Aligning organic and paid content schedules in collaboration with Social Audience Leads and Digital Producers
- Analysing campaign data to evaluate performance and refine strategies as appropriate
- Managing paid social media campaigns through Facebook Ads Manager and other platforms
- Collaborating on audience growth strategies with the broader AFL Content team
- Collaborating on at-match strategies with the broader AFL Content team
- Stakeholder management and working proactively across departments, teams and externals to drive best practice social media content and growth
- Staying front and centre and ahead of social media trends
- Identifying patterns and learnings from AFL social media audience data
- Contribute to key projects within and outside of core role
- Support and contribute to the success of the broader team
OUR IDEAL TEAM MEMBER
Core Competencies:
- Proficiency with all leading social media platforms
- Strong written communication skills
- Deep understanding of social advertising platforms such as Facebook Ads and Twitter Amplify
- An understanding of social revenue opportunities such as YouTube and Facebook Ad Break
- Proficiency with digital analytics platforms
- A background in either digital media or commercial partnerships
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in analysing insights and generating reports
- Experience working with brands, athletes, influencers and social platforms is desirable
- Knowledge of Australian Football and its players is desirable
- Experience developing branded content campaigns in a tactical way is desirable
- Proficiency with SocialBakers or other key third-party social media tools is desirable
