ABOUT THE ROLE
The Creative Project Manager is a key point of connection within AFL Digital for AFL Marketing, Clubs, Commercial Partners and internal teams.
The purpose of this role is to successfully manage and lead the production of marketing and other creative projects from the AFL and AFLW to the highest standards. Working in a team of project managers, you will be responsible for integrated production of brand-led campaigns overseeing from the point of brief through to production, spanning design, print, photography, broadcast, digital and social. The role collaborates closely with Creative Operations Manager, production and marketing teams and facilitates the end-to-end delivery of creative assets for campaigns.
The ideal person will be a multi-skilled team player, a strong, consistent communicator adept at managing expectations and navigating outcomes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop a strong understanding of AFL Marketing strategy, AFL digital audience, product portfolio and brands to help deliver effective campaigns
- Navigate creative briefs in a timely manner, bringing relevant creative leads and contributors together to develop solutions, providing cost estimates, feasibility input and creative solutions
- Review creative requirements and build out production timelines (including but not limited to video, photos, audio, design, 2D and 3D motion graphics, social, editorial and digital content)
- Oversee AFL Studio workflow and allocation of production resources for projects, ensuring assets are delivered on time, and to vision
- Identify opportunities for innovation across the business including best practice processes, systems, outputs and provide external perspectives for continuous improvement and efficiency
- Coordinate AFL Marketing briefs in alignment with stakeholder requirements, and subsequent communication and delivery of brief to internal teams or suppliers
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships with AFL Marketing, Clubs, suppliers, commercial partners, and internal AFL departments
- Collaborate with Creative/Art Director and creative teams to deliver outcomes
- Contribute to and champion AFL Digital content and initiatives in line with wider departmental content strategies and groups
- Manage financial estimates, quotes and oversee project specific budgets and reconciliation
- Manage third party/supplier invoicing relevant to projects
- Fulfill financial reporting requests as required to meet business objectives
OUR IDEAL TEAM MEMBER
Core Competencies:
- 3-5+ years managing integrated campaigns - creative agency, advertising or media publisher experience ideal
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders to present and develop creative solutions facilitating end-to-end production experience, trouble-shooting various challenges that may arise in a timely manner
- Strong commercial experience including owning relationships with internal stakeholders, key decision makers
- Ability to manage time to meet key deliverables, whilst working within a fast-paced environment
- Displays a high level of business acumen and has a strong understanding of wider business objectives
- Client service focus with demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive relationships, mutually beneficial to all parties
- Energetic team player, with the ability to work autonomously as required to deliver outcomes
- Effective communicator, calm under pressure
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
