Your Impact

As Contracts Manager (Operations) based in our Sydney HQ, you will report to the Senior Contracts Manager - Operations and work closely with various teams and leadership, making your mark in a number of ways:
  • Oversee and manage resources and non-OSE contracts within Property Operations in Australia.
  • Provide leadership, commercial guidance and expert advice to support the Data Centre Operations teams in commercial and contract matters.
  • Collaborate and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth contract administration and contribute to the operational excellence of our data centres.

Your Day to Day

  • Lead the development, review and administration of complex commercial contracts across Australia, engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • Support and contribute to tender processes, including the review of scope of works, tender evaluations, commercial assessments and recommendations.
  • Manage all aspects of contract administration including payment claims, variations, invoices, time-related claims, dispute resolution and contractual compliance.
  • Coordinate and support vendor management activities such as performance management, quarterly and monthly business reviews, performance metrics, KPI monitoring and compliance.
  • Participate in negotiations and key contract reviews with major partners across Australia and APME, and ensure smooth delivery and implementation of agreed contract changes.
  • Provide commercial and contractual support and advice to respective Data Centre Operations teams across AirTrunk data centres in Australia, ensuring risks and opportunities are effectively managed.
  • Oversee mobilisation of resource contracts across multiple sites, ensuring smooth transition and operational readiness.
  • Manage multiple concurrent initiatives, including operational readiness activities for new capacity deployments and supporting capital improvement projects.
  • Drive cost management, forecasting and reporting across all active contracts and operational services.
  • Develop and enhance contract management frameworks, tools and processes to improve governance, efficiency and business outcomes.
  • Support innovation and digital transformation initiatives aimed at improving productivity, operational effectiveness and deliver cost efficiencies.
  • Support and collaborate with Property Operations teams and provide support across regions where AirTrunk operates, as required.
  • Travel to data centre sites domestically and internationally may be required, to support business and operational requirements.

What You'll Bring

  • Tertiary degree qualifications in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Business or a relevant discipline, or equivalent commercial experience.
  • Minimum 8 years’ of relevant work experience in contracts, commercial management, procurement, or a related discipline within construction, engineering, facilities management, property management or equivalent industry.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of contract administration, contract law and commercial risk management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple vendors and service providers, including contract preparation, negotiation, administration, performance management and dispute resolution.
  • Good communication, negotiation, stakeholder engagement and contract drafting skills.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to influence and guide multi-disciplinary teams and contractors to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Proven ability to build trusted business partnerships and align commercial outcomes with broader organisational objectives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and exposure to online collaboration platforms.

Preferred

  • Experience within the data centre, facilities management, critical infrastructure, or property operations sectors.
  • Exposure to multi-jurisdictional contracts and regional operations across Australia, APAC, or international markets.
  • Experience supporting operational environments with a strong focus on service delivery, vendor performance, and continuous improvement.
