American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the leader in the Commercial Payments Solutions space and continues to be a dynamic, fast-growing business. The UK GCS Marketing Team is a critical driver of growth and is responsible for generating demand for our B2B products which help small, mid-size, and large corporations around the world manage nearly every facet of their business spending.
We are looking for a driven, results-oriented Content Marketing Analyst to join the UK Marketing Acquisition team who will play a key role on maximizing GCS’s presence on digital channels, shaping the narrative and creating content experiences tailored to the company’s target audience through the delivery of an effective content strategy. Our high quality, prospect and customer-facing content supports awareness, engagement, and demand generation marketing objectives for our B2B business.
This person will work closely with our Content agencies and the PR team and will report to the Content and Social Media Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing the ideation, development, and execution of content across a number of different formats (articles, podcasts, videos etc.)
- Reviewing, optimising, and updating existing published content as needed
- Monitoring engagement and analysing data to inform creative next steps
- Building strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
- Implementing SEO best practices
- Ensuring that content is clear, compelling and adheres to a consistent brand philosophy that is properly distributed across our owned channels (website, emails, social media and mobile)
- Providing guidance, training, and support to internal stakeholder teams, educating them on the value of content and how best to leverage it in other marketing channels

- You are familiar with search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) guidelines
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven experience in content marketing and/or in a similar role
- B2B experience working within financial services preferable
- Proven track record of developing engaging and exciting marketing content with demonstrable results
- Strong stakeholder/agency management skills
- Excellent influencing skills, interpersonal skills, and relationship management skills
- An excellent communicator with strong presentation skills
- Basic knowledge of SEO
