About the role:
Due to an internal promotion we are hiring for a permanent full-time IT Onsite Support professional to join us. You will join a team that will prioritise a positive culture and are driven to provide high quality support. You will have the opportunity to work in a unique environment in our Lytton location at the Refinery with potential to work or at our new office based in Fortitude valley (Brisbane). As the onsite Engineer you will provide local hardware/ infrastructure support in partnership with the Desktop Support team to all our users. Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for asset management of end user hardware and end to end lifecycle management
- Action asset management of end user hardware and end to end life cycle
- Manage deployment of assets to end users and the refresh/rebuild process
- Supply equipment to users with training on how to utilise core Ampol systems
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships with key users at Ampol
- Liaise with all support teams in IT, both internally and externally to resolve issues
About you:
You are a strong team player, a relationship builder and someone who is self-motivated and can achieve team goals while working autonomously. As a problem solver and someone who is curious, you will demonstrate the ability to understand business requirements, assess technical needs, provide advice and analysis to relevant stakeholders. As a strong communicator, you will build effective relationships to ensure a high level of collaboration is maintained across the business. We are looking for someone who has a great attitude, and we can train up so this position would suit someone who has worked in a level 1 or 2 helpdesk role and has experience with applications. This role will get broad exposure across our refinery technologies, infrastructure and is an interesting area to work in.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (such as IT, Engineering)
- ITIL V4 Foundation certification
- Experience supporting desktop environments and End User Computing Support roles
- Knowledge of and recent practical experience in IT field support and escalations
- Experience in IT infrastructure services (operation and support)
- Experience working in a large and complex environment, facilitating resolution of escalated incidents
