About the role:

The Reliability Inspector is responsible for developing and optimising inspection programmes aimed at maintaining or improving the integrity and reliability of static equipment, associated devices and support structures.

You will be responsible for ensuring that static equipment and structures are fabricated, installed, modified and repaired in accordance with the relevant codes, standards, specifications and regulations and that they remain safe, reliable and fit for continued service. In addition, you will direct and control inspection related activities and ensure appropriate inspection strategies are developed and implemented.

Based at the Lytton Refinery in Brisbane, this role is critical to ensuring the safety of people and reliability of plant on our site. You will work with a variety of key stakeholders, including the wider Inspection Team, engineering, operations and maintenance teams and NDT contractors, to ensure priorities are clearly communicated and understood, as well as actively participating in planning and scheduling meetings to ensure inspection priorities are delivered in a timely manner. You will also conduct in-service inspections on static equipment and structures as required and document findings in the Inspection RBI database.

About you:

Suitable applicants will ideally have at least 5 years’ experience in In-service inspection and welding fabrication inspection of static equipment, in a petrochemical, oil and gas or similar industry.

You are required to be AICIP or equivalent certified and preferably be a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and API 653 certified Tank Inspector. You will also be required to demonstrate sound knowledge of relevant codes and standards, inspection techniques, fitness for service assessments and Risk Based Inspection methodologies. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is a must, with knowledge in SAP and RBI software a distinct advantage.

You will have strong analytical & strategic capabilities and be a self-motivated, proactive team player, with demonstrated strengths in stakeholder engagement.
