About the role:
The eMobility Technology Specialist will support the eMobility Technical Manager in developing and operating the technology to behind Ampol’s EV charging ecosystem, from our forecourts nationwide, to in the home, workplace and destination.
This role will take a holistic view on all eMobility technologies from Hardware to Software to create innovative customer centric products and solutions.
Reporting to the EV Technical Manager this role will work with a cross-functional team across technology, IT, product and the business to develop Ampol’s eMobility technology roadmap and strategy together.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and share subject matter expertise in eMobility space to inform business.
- Identify technical requirements and solutions to support business and product functions
- Support with technical integration of eMobility into Ampol ecosystem to create unique customer value propositions
- Collaborate with eMobility Operations and Maintenance to resolve technical faults
- Ensuring standards compliance for eMobility solutions
- Work cross-functionally with IT, EV product deployment and external stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of projects and information
The position can be located in either Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.
As we grow, this role may also grow, and reasonable changes may need to be made in accordance with the needs of the business.
About you:
You will have a passion for eMobility and climate technologies with 2-3 years previous experience in co-ordinating technical aspects of power infrastructure, vehicle technology and digital solutions.
You will have a solid track record of working in cross functional teams and your knowledge will be supported by a tertiary qualification with a relevant Technology or Engineering background.
Key skills and experience:
- Knowledge and passion in eMobility and climate technologies incl battery, solar and other off-grid energy solutions
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Ability to collaborate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders incl vendors, business owners, customers and industry bodies
- Clear and unambiguous communication, written and verbal
- Demonstrate your ability to diagnose problems quickly and have foresight into potential issues
