About the role:
The Commercial Analyst role is responsible for the development and maintenance of proactive and forward-thinking commercial analysis, interpretation, tools and the provision of sound recommendations to support both capital investment and business operating decisions in eMobility.
Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, the role provides support to the key business decision makers for investment, strategy, and negotiations.
The role will include business case development, trend reporting, construction and maintenance of financial models and direct contribution to the development and execution of the eMobility strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contribute to the capital investment and balance sheet forecast process with to support new investments and negotiations
- Develop, own and monitor the key components of the e-mobility strategy
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate provision of proactive advice and support
- Assess the commercial performance of our public and private assets against business cases
Position can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne with hybrid working opportunities available dependent on business delivery timelines.
About you:
You will have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in Finance, Strategy or Accounting.
You will have demonstrated the ability to present quantitative analysis in a way that supports decision making and are able to think critically about the problems you’ve been asked to solve.
Your tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business or a Finance related discipline will support your enthusiasm for the provision of alternative energy opportunities and knowledge of financial markets, eMobility or the energy transition.
Key skills and experience:
- Advanced analytical skills, with strong capacity for proactive problem identification and solution development
- Strong people skills the including ability to effectively communicate, engage and influence key stakeholders to drive high impact recommendations
- Ability to build relationships across the company, and adapt communication style to suit
- Ability to lead by example and with a strong focus on safe operations
