About the role
In this role, you will provide subject matter expertise for the management of risk and regulatory requirements for Dangerous Goods and Process Safety across the Retail business. This role will engage with relevant stakeholders including regulatory bodies, champion improvements in the safe storage and handling of combustible and flammable liquids and gases (LPG), lead incident investigations related to fuels products and LPG and lead programs of work associated with these products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead investigations for incidents in the context of safe storage and handling/process safety
- Support the Retail training team to review and provide content for fuels training programs
- Develop and maintain reporting, analysis, documentation, licensing, and trending of incidents
- Create, monitor, and implement the Retail LPG strategy and training material
- Act as a trusted advisor by providing advice and recommendations to relevant stakeholders
- Own the LPG audit program, ensuring operating sites remain compliant with national standards
About you
You will be a subject matter expert and strategic thinker when it comes to risk and regulatory requirements associated with Dangerous Goods and Process Safety within a fuels business, whilst maintaining an analytical and solutions-based mindset. You will have the ability to incorporate associated legislations to ensure compliance towards industry and regulatory standard. Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder/partner management skills is essential.
Key skills and experience
- Degree in engineering, chemical or mechanical engineering preferred
- Proven practical experience in petroleum or chemical processing industry
- Demonstrated project management experience in a similar field
- Proven ability to work in collaboration with various stakeholders
