About the role
In this role, you will work to ensure the safety and wellbeing strategy is effectively implemented in the retail business across NSW/ACT. You will coach teams on risks, compliance, and safety to prevent injuries and drive the right culture.
Due to the nature of the role, you may be required to action escalations outside of business hours.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the review and implementation of the Ampol Retail Safety Management Plan
- Implement initiatives to prevent and minimise workplace injuries and illnesses
- Support and undertake incident investigations and provide advice on corrective actions
- Undertake hazard identification, inspections, and job hazard analysis
- Partner, coach and support relevant operations team members and support office Prepare reports, documents and frameworks while keeping accurate records
About you
You will be able to effectively manage your time in a highly autonomous role requiring site visits and a high level of internal stakeholder engagement. A high level of attention to detail when preparing reporting and data. Ideally you will have experience in retail and/or multi-sites.
Key skills and experience
- Tertiary Qualifications in Health and Safety or related discipline
- Extensive experience in Safety and wellbeing. Ideally in a multi-site and or retail environment
- Strong commitment for Health, Safety and Security with a passion for continuous improvement
- Demonstrated experience developing effective relationships
- Able to engage effectively with people at all levels and have sound influencing skills
- Able to write high quality reports, procedures, investigations and presentations
