About the role:
Reporting to the Future Energy Delivery Manager, this role is responsible for the development and support of a range of Future Energy technical initiatives. Initiatives will be variable and likely to be undertaken on an assignment basis based on the engineering skills required across the business including Technology Systems, eMobility and Future Fuels.
The position can be based in either Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne and includes a hybrid working option with flexibility dependent on scheduled delivery outcomes and stakeholder engagement requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Stakeholder engagement and alignment
- Developing robust project plans to ensure effective planning for resources (including people and funding)
- Developing accurate project cost estimates and assist in actively managing cash flows including approvals, forecasting and payment
- Ensure project quality in terms of reliability and operability and provide engineering capability to assigned projects
- Be the Ampol key liaison point in ventures that may be jointly owned
About you:
You will have 3-7 years of demonstrated experience in Project Management or Engineering of projects in a Technology, Manufacturing, Electricity or Energy Industry and preferably a specialisation in a field applicable to Future Energy and Fuels including e-Mobility or Wholesale Electricity.
Supporting your business acumen will be a tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering and a relevant state engineering accreditation preferred.
Key skills and experience:
- Strong understanding of an Energy discipline
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and cross functional working
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills including facilitation and well-developed analytical skills
- Measurable CAPEX/OPEX budget management experience
