About the role
In this role, you will work as part of a collaborative, supportive and flexible culture to provide Employee Relations (ER) advice and support to leaders and employees. The role will focus on the Retail Operations business, however the successful candidate may be required to assist other areas of the business as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Employee case management within the Retail Operations business (including investigations, disciplinary action, terminations and management of non-work related illness/injury matters);
- Support leaders with interpretation of employment policies and processes, Awards, Enterprise Agreements and legislation;
- Build credibility and strong stakeholder relationships with the business in the assigned region; and
- Execute proactive compliance interventions to ensure compliance with all industrial instruments and relevant legislation.
About you
You will be an individual with excellent communication and customer service skills, who thoroughly enjoys providing ER and HR advice and wants to grow their knowledge. As a team player, you will provide support to both colleagues and the business. You will also be able to work autonomously and work through problems with ambiguity.
Key skills and experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources / Employee Relations / Law or relevant experience in an ER/HR Advisor role
- Case management experience
- A solid understanding of interpreting HR policies and processes
- An exposure to Award / Enterprise Agreement application in the workplace
