About the role
Reporting to the Group Employee Relations Manager, you will work as part of a collaborative, supportive and flexible culture to provide HR and ER advice to leaders and employees across the Fuel Supply Chain, Corporate and Retail areas of Ampol’s business.
As an Employee Relations Specialist, your focus will be on supporting the business with:
- Complex case management (including management of personal leave-related return to work strategies, investigations, disciplinary action and terminations);
- Providing advice in relation to Awards, Agreements and employment-related legislation;
- Advising on restructures and consultation processes;
- Drafting HR policies; and
- Negotiating and drafting Enterprise Agreements.
You may also be called upon to mentor Senior Employee Relations Advisors and Employee Relations Advisors, and review work as required.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have exceptional stakeholder management skills, including strong verbal and written communication skills. You will have demonstrated experience in providing accurate, strategic and practical ER advice.
Key skills and experience
- Degree in Law, HR or equivalent experience and a minimum of 4 years’ experience in an operational employee relations role;
- Demonstrated experience in providing technical HR/ER advice and in undertaking complex case management;
- Operational HR/ER experience in a unionised environment or experience with an employer association (highly desirable).
