About Future Energy:
Energy Transition and Decarbonisation is one of Ampol’s four strategic pillars, a key priority area that will help ensure we deliver on our purpose to ‘power better journeys today and tomorrow’. The objective of the Future Energy team is to evolve our energy offering to ensure we continue to meet the ongoing needs of our customers and deliver an energy offering to best leverage marketplace opportunities as they arise.
The role:

As our Digital Product Manager, you will be responsible for the management of a suite of digital applications that will enable us to reach our Future Energy goals. Working with cross-functional teams to help scale our AmpCharge and Ampol Energy businesses, you’ll take us further by;
- Managing product release pipeline according to the release strategy, incorporating new features, resolved defects, change requests and any other business needs.
- Proactively look for improvements in efficiencies in Products and implement where possible.
- Put customers (internal and external) and value generation at the heart of all decision making.
- Make complex issues simple for the audience so that stakeholders and delivery teams can get things done
- Prepare and maintain individual product roadmaps, incorporating vendor roadmaps and Ampol projects and change requests.
- Raise application effectiveness and performance by strategizing options, deciding on actions, communicating decisions and taking action.
This is a permanent position based in our Alexandria, Sydney HQ, with flexible, hybrid work options available.
About You:
- Product Management experience in delivery of Web based Applications
- Proven experience of navigating ambiguous and/or complex organisations, working through the end-to-end product lifecycle
- Ability to prioritise multiple requests and effectively manage competing priorities
- Demonstrated capacity for translating thought into action and being fully accountable for results.
- Well-rounded technical knowledge of web technologies, including systemic knowledge of IT development, operational and change management processes and methodologies
- Energy, Payment Merchandising, Loyalty Business or IT experience would be desirable
