About the role:
Reporting to the OE Manager Distribution, a newly created opportunity has arisen for an experienced Process Safety Risk Manager to join our HSE team. The role will be leading a small team of Process Safety Specialists to drive, manage the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Risk Management across our Distribution Business. This include compliance with regulatory requirement relating to Major Hazard Facilities.
Key responsibilities:
- Developing and managing Distribution process safety improvement plan
- Manage the Distribution MHF Safety cases
- Manage the development and implementation of the group operational risk management process across the Distribution business
- Provide technical subject matter expertise with process safety, risk, and relevant legislations
- Custodian for the process safety and risk management systems within Distribution (e.g., Management of Change, Risk Management, etc.).
- Develop and implement effective process safety key performance indicators
- Develop assurance and OEMS governance processes
Skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Process/Chemical or Mechanical) is preferred
- Proven Process Safety Risk Management experience within Major Hazard Facility
- Knowledge of risk management, safety assessment (e.g HAZOP, LOPA etc)
- Experience in MHF Safety Case Design
- Strong people leadership skills
- Effective communications skills (both written and verbal)
- Proven performance in hazard identification and assessment and knowledge of relevant engineering, process safety standards and regulations in Australia
